AI Structuring

Rough idea.
Structured opportunity.
Two seconds.

Someone drops a raw observation in Slack. Paste it into Sorby. The model structures the opportunity, fills mandatory fields, and scores the hypothesis before it touches the team backlog.

No intake form. No Jira ticket. The PM still decides what makes the cut. The AI removes the friction of structuring.

Sorby — New opportunity
Users keep saying checkout takes too long. Lots of drop-off at step 3. Maybe a progress indicator would help?
Paste from Slack, Notion, anywhere
Sorby — Hypothesis search

Searches all opportunities across every team in your workspace

Overlap Detection

Find out who else
is solving the
same problem.

Paste any hypothesis. pgvector semantic search scans every opportunity across all teams in the workspace and surfaces the closest matches — ranked by similarity, labelled by team and stage.

The CPO sees duplicate bets before they become duplicate sprints. Teams merge, pivot, or split work — before it's committed.

Pipeline Intelligence

The pipeline doesn't lie.
Sorby surfaces it.

The CPO view aggregates every team's discovery stages in real time. When items pile up, Sorby flags it immediately — with the oldest items, the root pattern, and suggested actions. No retro. No data pull.

Architecture

Three spaces.
One topology.

Insights are workspace-shared. Opportunities are workspace-shared. Solution Boards are team-owned but readable by all. Mandatory cross-references tie the chain.

🔍
Insight Bank
For
Analysts, researchers, POs
Workspace-shared library of what the org knows about users. Structured template, searchable by segment or metric. Knowledge compounds instead of decaying.
See which opps have used each insight. Filter by source, segment, or date.
💡
Opportunity Sandbox
For
Any employee who spots a problem
One front door for hypotheses from anywhere in the org. Gated stages keep half-formed ideas out of the team backlog until they're ready.
CPO sees if multiple teams are already working on the same opportunity.
🗂
Solution Boards
For
Each team — owned by them, readable by all
Per-team boards for committed work. Driver field mandatory on every solution so ownership is never ambiguous.
Switch boards and see every team's canvas side by side.

Scoring Library

Define a formula once.
Every team scores on
the same axes.

Team A runs ICE. Team B runs RICE. The CPO juggles translations. Sorby's workspace scoring library ends that argument. One model, every board. Cross-team prioritization stops being a debate about methodology.

I spent two years trying to get 15 teams to run discovery together.

Every PM had a different methodology. The CPO could not see the bigger picture. The CFO kept asking why we built things nobody used.

I tried every existing tool. None of them were built for this specific transition — the moment your product org stops being one team and starts being many. The three-spaces topology came directly from those scars: insights have to be workspace-shared or they die in private docs; opportunities need a single front door or they die in Slack; team boards have to stay owned but visible or duplication eats your roadmap.

The AI parser. No signup.

  • AI backlog parser (paste anything, get structure)
  • 1 workspace, up to 3 members
  • Insight Bank + Opportunity Sandbox (read-only)
  • 50 stored ideas, 100 AI parses / month

Starter

$149/mo

Single team or first cross-team rollout. The three spaces, one board.

  • Up to 10 workspace members
  • Insight Bank with structured templates and cross-team filtering
  • Opportunity Sandbox with open intake + status gates
  • 1 Solution Board (Product Features template)
  • RICC scoring on opportunities and solutions
  • CSV import / export

Growth

$399/mo

Multiple teams running discovery in parallel. The full topology.

  • Up to 25 workspace members
  • Per-team Solution Boards with cross-team read-only visibility
  • Reusable scoring models across every board (RICC, ICE, WSJF, custom)
  • Configurable stages and gates per board (scoring, approval, checklist, custom)
  • CPO Dashboard: ship velocity, cycle time, driver-load, discovery-context per team
  • Workspace taxonomies (segment, metric, source) for cross-team filtering
  • Founder-led onboarding + priority support
ROI:Per-workspace pricing — does not scale with curious browsers. Compare 25 makers × $59 in Productboard = $1,475/mo.

Your data lives in the EU

Workspace content is stored in Supabase Postgres in Frankfurt. Backups stay in the same region. Cross-border transfers are covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Where data lives

We never train AI on your data

Anthropic — our LLM provider — does not train its models on API traffic, contractually. Sorby does not train any model on customer content, ever.

How we use AI

Frequently asked questions

How is Sorby different from Productboard, Aha, or Jira Product Discovery?

All three assume one team, one pipeline. None of them links evidence to bets across teams — open an opportunity in any of them and you cannot see which insights support it or which other teams' solutions reference the same problem. Sorby's cross-reference layer and reusable scoring models are the mechanical wedge.

What tools does Sorby replace or consolidate?

Most scaling product orgs are Frankenstein-ing Notion (insights), Linear (solutions), Sheets (opportunity backlog), and Slack (cross-team coordination). Sorby replaces the seams between them with one topology. Your researchers can still run interviews wherever (Dovetail, Loom, Gong) and link the recording into an insight; your engineers can still ship in their existing tracker.

What size of product team is Sorby built for?

Sorby fits any product org where more than one team runs discovery and decisions need to be visible across teams. The topology applies any time discovery breaks because it can't survive being copied between people. If you're a single team, our Starter tier matches; if you're enterprise, talk to us about workspace-per-domain setups.

Is Sorby SOC2 compliant? Does AI train on our data?

Not SOC2 yet — Type 1 target Q2 2027, Type 2 follows. We don't train models on customer data — all LLM calls go to Anthropic via their API which contractually does not train. DPA available on request. Full policy: sorby.io/security.

When is Sorby actually available?
